BaSiliCoat® Primer
Product description
BaSiliCoat® Primer is an acrylic-based tie coat intended to ensure adhesion of BaSiliCoat® Antifouling to an epoxy primer and other painted surfaces.
Preparation
Clean the surface with BaSiliCoat® Cleaner and then rinse thoroughly with water. The surface to be treated with the primer must be dry, clean and free from contamination, loose paint residue or dust. Any silicone paint must be removed before treatment. Epoxy paints based on glycid may affect the primer’s ability to adhere to the surface.
Mixing / Application
The product is ready to use. Homogenise by stirring before application. Apply BaSiliCoat® Primer with standard paint applicators such as a soft brush, roller or sponge. Work slowly and methodically to prevent loss and dripping.
Drying time
Overcoat after at least 3 hours.
Note: Do not paint surfaces colder than +5 °C. The product must not freeze.
