Product information
We hereby state that BaSiliCoat Antifouling is a biocide-free bottom treatment and does not contain biocidal substances such as copper or tin compounds. The product works mainly through physical properties rather than chemical toxicity to fouling organisms.
The product is not a biocidal product under applicable regulations and is therefore not subject to authorisation requirements for biocidal products with the Swedish Chemicals Agency (Kemikalieinspektionen).
The product is not classified as hazardous to the environment under current classification rules (CLP).
Testing by Chalmers University of Technology shows that the product does not exhibit toxicity to the marine organisms included in the study.
The product must be handled according to the current safety data sheet (SDS), which states that releases to the environment should be avoided.
Limitation of liability
This statement concerns only the properties of the product and does not guarantee that a treated vessel meets local environmental requirements. Such an assessment is also affected by previous paint layers and is the responsibility of the boat owner.
